Ticks

Ticks are 3-5mm and brown in colour. Ticks are external parasites living and feeding on the blood of mammals. Deer ticks being the most common in Ontario. These ticks are a public health concern as they can easily carry the bacterium (Borrelia Burgdorferi) which if transmitted to humans by a tick bite may cause Lyme disease.
